Christmas is upon us. Each year during this time, I smile when I pull out one of my favorite Christmas decorations I bought at a holiday market years ago. It’s a small sign that reads, “Blessed is the season which engages the whole world in a conspiracy of love.”

For me, Christmas is a time I cherish with my family: playing cars and trucks and loving on my two-year-old nephew; engaging in long conversations with my 87-year-old Grandmother without worrying how much time has gone by; being a Daddy’s girl; and acting like a kid around my younger brother while Mama takes our picture in the very old Santa hats that she has somehow kept intact from our childhood years. I’m blessed for the season that engages our family in a conspiracy of love.
